iPad: How do I disable Siri (Voice)Siri is Apple's voice assistant which is available on iPads and iPhones. If you tap-and-hold the iPad Home button, Siri will ask you how it can help.
If you wish to disable Siri, perform the following steps:
- Unlock your iPad.
- Press the Home button to get out of your current app.
- Find and tap the "Settings" icon. (swipe sideways to get to the second page of apps where the Settings app is located)
- Tap the "General" option.
- Tap the "Siri" option.
- Toggle Siri by tapping the indicator beside the word "Siri".
- Tap "Disable" in the pop-up confirmation box.
- Tap the "General" option near the top to leave this area.
- Press the Home button to get out of the Settings app.
You can always re-enable Siri by performing the same steps and turning it On.
